Large scale recruitment and TUPE transfer for a new build start up operation

Our customer - a leading UK grocery retailer - took the decision to close a number of RDCs within their network and invest more than £70m in a number of new composite RDCs. Following a competitive tender, Norbert Dentressangle was selected as transport provider at one of the RDCs, and following a successful implementation our transport solutions were extended to another large RDC.

Long term partnership with leading online & home shopping retailer

Our customer is the UK’s leading online and home shopping retailer,who has a 25% share of the home shopping market, annual sales of £1.7 billion and a customer base of more than 5 million. Starting in 2000 as an 86,000 sq ft shared user warehouse, today our solution comprises a dedicated 800,000 sq ft and 60 acre campus warehouse operation.

Composite retail distribution operation with over 1,100 colleagues

Our customer has over 480 stores and operates a nationwide distribution network comprising eight main RDCs, of which six are multi-temperature composite sites. We have managed and operated a 645,000 sq ft campus distribution centre since 1989.

Retail distribution operation for home & general merchandise market leader

Our customer is a multi-channel retailer selling products to 130 million customers in the UK and Ireland, through its website which receives 430 million visits each year generating 26% of sales and a TV shopping channel. Sales in 2011 were £4.3 billion.

Flexible labour planning in a million sq ft retail operation

Norbert Dentressangle manages four RDCs for our customer, a leading high street retailer, storing circa 5.8 million units, with weekly throughput of 1.8 million items - 3.6 million at peak. The sites employ a combined total of 1,500 colleagues rising to 2,500 at peak, when activity levels can increase 100% week on week.

Zara – out of hours store deliveries

Making sure that quality designs and innovative fashions are always available to its customers means ensuring the Inditex supply chain is fast, flexible and responsive. That’s why Inditex works with the Norbert Dentressangle Group for over 2,000 stores in Spain, France and Great Britain. In Britain, the overnight transport operation serves over 70 Inditex stores including Zara, Zara Home, Massimo Dutti, Bershka.

Each year in Europe, Christmas begins in October... and ends at the end of January. For four months, the Norbert Dentressangle Group makes all its human and material resources available for its customers. 

Salomon - Salomon gets off on the right foot

Adidas group subsidiary Salomon, based in Annecy, France, specialises in winter sports gear. It decided to delocalise part of its production (Alpine and Nordic ski boots, in-line skates, ski bindings and Mavic bike wheels) to Romania.
