Norbert Dentressangle wins French management award for social inclusion project

Norbert Dentressangle has partnered with Ares, an association which promotes the social and professional inclusion of disadvantaged individuals, to launch a new social company, Log’ins. The not-for-profit venture recently won the Espoirs du Management award for its work.

New start-up Log’Ins helps disabled individuals secure permanent employment within the French workforce by providing them with the necessary training, whilst at the same time plugging skills gaps within the logistics profession.

The inspiration behind Log’ins came from the recognition that those on subsidised employment programmes were not sufficiently qualified for the logistics profession. There was also a distinct shortage of posts in disability-friendly companies (those committed to employing at least 80% disabled workers) compared to the demand (20,000 posts available compared to 200,000 disabled job seekers).

Log’ins was formed a year ago on the initiative of François Bertreau, chairman of Norbert Dentressangle’s executive board, and Thibaut Guilluy, CEO of both Ares and Log’ins. Currently specialising in advertising and promotional logistics, e-commerce and co-packing, Log’ins has already earned the support of seven major customers, including SFR, L’Oréal and Beiersdorf, and has now placed twenty people with difficulties in employment.

Strong relationships have already been established between Log’ins and its first customers. Jean-Bernard Levy, chairman of Vivendi’s executive board said, “Deeply involved in its creation, SFR is proud to have signed the first purchase order with Log’ins, which assembles our customer Welcome Packs.”

The eco-friendly online bookstore, Recyclivre, has entrusted Log’ins with its entire online sales management, from product storage to order receipt and shipment logistics.
