In its transport solutions contracts, the Norbert Dentressangle Group manages all aspects of for its customers, with a commitment to means and optimised performance. It does occur that part of the transport is entrusted to an outside subcontractor.
The Group selects its subcontractors, to offer to its customers guaranteed service quality. Subcontracting management is thus essential. It entails contractual relations between the Group and the subcontractors and strong commitments: delivery times, quality, and even sustainable development.
Traceability information tools
Transport solutions management also relies on information tools. Delivery time traceability is thus at the heart of relations with subcontractors, always with the aim of delivering all the information to the customer. Every driver in the Group is equipped with a telephone, even subcontractors. In the future, they will no doubt be equipped with on-board IT systems, like Group vehicles (1,000 vehicles to be equipped by the end of 2007). Lastly, the Group sets up steering committees to monitor the quality indicators that apply to subcontractors.
